Fishermen in Italy are drowning in a ocean of laws, regulations and fuel high prices. The European Community laws are based on atlantic fishing experience and don't suits the needs of Mediterranean fishermen. Filippo Artese, captain and Zaccaria sailor works 18h a day on the Giaguaro an 18 meters fishing boat based in the harbor of Viareggio in tuscany. Even if the Tyrrhenian sea is teeming with fish the earnings for the two men are ridiculous. All the profits are for the fish sellers and the shops.
